The various activities at URYM include....
Day-Away
During the first semester, we have a ‘Day Away’. We allow the students to enjoy the first half of the day. In the latter half, we share the Gospel. Then we also have film shows . Films like ‘Thief in the night’, "Cross and the Switchbalde", "Pilgrims progress" are shown. Counseling sessions are also run periodically.
Regular college fellowships
Every college fixes up a day in a week or a month to conduct the fellowship. The gospel is presented to everyone in its simplest form like songs, video clips, testimonies etc., Most of the fellowships are organized outside the campus by hiring halls or churches.
Intercession
Prayer is the backbone of the ministry and it is our prime duty to intercede for our nation and the dying souls. The intercession prayer for girls is conducted every Saturday from 9.00 AM, for details contact +91 9941009121.
Boys gather on every Saturday at 5.00 PM to intercede for the nation, for details contact +91 9941009134. Apart from this, the leaders from different colleges choose a specific time to intercede for their specific college.
Music concerts
URYM is gifted with talented musicians and songwriters which has led to the birth of URYM Worship Band. This bunch of young talents present the gospel to the youth by organizing music concerts at various palces in the city.
The first music album by URYM, ONLY YOU was realeased in the year 2004. The second ablum, UMAKKAGAVAE, Which is a mixture of tamil and english is available in all christian stores from June 2009.
"ABLAZE" - Annual discipleship camp.
This happens every year during May-June season at the ELAGIRI hills, Tamil Nadu. Generally the camp goes for about 4 days and it is a blend of every essential stuff for youth! It is during the time of camp where many young lives are set on fire for Christ. The camp includes games, songs, dance, group discussions, counseling sessions, open stage etc., the general theme of the camp will lead everyone in a philosophical, practical and spiritual way.
About 250 girls turned up for the Ablaze'08 among which 24 girls commited thier lives to serve the god as missionaries.The attendance was 110 in the boys camp out of which 25 boys commited thier lives for full time ministry.
