Jesus transformed my life - Immanuel 07/01/2010
 Hi everybody, I'm Immanuel doing my masters in Chicago, US. I did my under grad in Jeppiaar engineering college, Chennai. It was through Justin, one of my close friends, I came to know about URYM. For the first two years of my under grad, i was in hostel. During those days, i was very much worldly without knowing the god's will. It was only after two years, when I came outside as a day scholar, I came to know about this wicked world. I was deceived by my friends and the world. After which I came to understand God's abundant love he has for me. Justin used to take me to many URYM meetings. In one of the 'Elijah' meetings I received holy spirit anointing. After which God started to bless me abundantly in my life. God started to work on me, he started making me holy. There were many problems which i cannot overcome, yet God helped me in overcoming all of them. Now i'm in US just because of God's abundant grace. God has performed many miracles in my life, I don think this space would be enough to fill all of those..lol... If anybody is interested in knowing more about the miracles God performed in my life, you can see it in my profile in orkut. Are you ready for christmas? No,not I, I have lots to do and things to buy, Dress to stitch and a cake to bake, night Let me jot it down while I'm still in the wake. Rush to the mall,before others get there, There's a discount here and an offer there, Choose your saree,it must be the best, outstanding our friend's and all the rest. The menu for the day requires thought, The packets are many and dearly bought, This child likes it,that one does not, It drives me angry,year in and year out. This wall is shabby and needs a coat, Carollers will come with santa a float, Singing carols with music so sweet, Each song is good,rehearsed and neat. "joy to the world,the Lord is come" But do i share my joy with atleast some? I saw a girl in the street cry, But did not stop by to ask her why. "Silent night,Holy night"comes nest For some reason,the mood here is vexed. Silence and holiness are far to reach, I wish for both within my reach. "While shepherds watched their flocks by night" They were at their duty in the dark cold night. Angels appeared and brightly lit the sky I wish to see angels bright in the sky. "Oh,little town of Bethlehem"is the crown, What do i know of this little town? I've always lived in the rush of cities, Busy with my studies and busy with my duties. "Love came down at christmas"they sing Hot words and thoughts I often fling, Jesus is born, merry bells do ring, To Jesus and Jesus only I must cling. Am I ready for christmas?No not yet, Until my heart is clean and set, Cleanse me Lord,with thy blood so pure, I bow before you,Lord,I'm yours for sure.  Hi I am Prabhu. I was the only son to my parents and so they were very loving to me and I was a very special child to them. At the age of 15 due to unavoidable situations I had to discontinue my studies and come to Chennai for a job. I was really sad for there was no one to show me love and compassion and to take care of me. Without my parents to keep an eye on me I was getting into friendship with boys in the working place and started getting into all evil practices like smoking, drinking, and usage of drugs like ganja etc. My life was totally pathetic and miserable. Though I wanted to leave all those habits I could not do it with my will power. Later I started attending URYM fellowship where I got introduced to good prayerful and compassionate boys. I was really moved by the love they showed me and slowly with gods power came out of all my addictions and surrendered my life completely to Jesus. Then as per God's leading I took baptism and later God answered my prayer by anointing me with his Holy Spirit. I had new experiences in my Christian life and now I am a totally changed person completely into Gods hands. Now god has blessed me with a good job in retailing and I am leading a Christian life that is unshakable. "UMAKKAGAVAE" Latest audio release from URYM 20/11/2009
 Umakkagavae" is the latest audio release from Upper Room Youth Mission. Most of the songs in the album were written and sung by college students. The first audio album "ONLY YOU" was released in the year 2004, It was an English album with 11 songs written and sung by girls from different colleges. Josiah Helfin scored the music. The songs in the album transformed many lives with its scripture rooted lyrics and attractive music. After four years from the first project, Lord placed the burden to work on the second CD "UMAKKAGAVAE". This album contains 9 songs among which 7 were written by boys and girls from various colleges and the rest are translations. Music was done by Samuel Jebaraja, and Raj fine tuned it with his inputs and mixing. "Umakkagavae", which has born out of HIS perfect will with prayers, warfare and hard work is sure to fill the hearts of listeners with divine presence and uncompromisable joy! God Bless You!
